Freshly Made Sketches 364 Weekly Challenge

I love these clean sketches.   It's always fun to see the sketch - and my first thought is always "what am I going to do with that?"    Oddly enough you always find a solution.

I took some pieces I had left from the Winter Wonderland paper stack and added some blue cardstock.   It's really very simple.   Not the most innovative - but attractive none the less.   The blue says winter to me.  I did add three clear frost enamel dots to the top right of the card.

Freshly Made Sketches 363 Weekly Challenge

I have started participating in the Freshly Made Sketches Challenge each week.  It is a "for fun" challenge. Any and all product is welcome.  These challenges are fun and give you the opportunity to be out of your comfort zone and increase your creativity.

I love the simplicity of the sketch this week.   I decided to turn the card and make it landscape.  I needed room for the deer family.   The birch woods was a perfect background for the scene.   I think this is a nice masculine, winter-themed card.

The Journey Begins

Well, I'm taking the plunge of starting a blog about my card making.   I rely so much on blogs for inspiration and ideas myself that I felt it was time to maybe share some of my ideas and creativity.     I use lots of brands of product and will always try to list the main ingredients for each card.

I started card making about 15 months ago and truly enjoy the process and the almost immediate payback of having something completed right away.   With 2018 winding down, it appears I will have sent 300+ cards this year.   I send to relatives and friends on birthdays and anniversaries.   I send Get Well Soon cards, Sympathy cards and Just Thinking of You cards.   It's true - everyone enjoys a card in the mail.

I have also joined Chemo Angels.   This organization is a way to help uplift someone with cancer who is going through chemo, with prayers, cards, gifts, gift baskets, etc.   Check them out - they are a great organization.

Finally, I am a guy and there is definitely a short supply of masculine cards. I try to make masculine cards as often as possible and hope that will be beneficial for those that come across my blog.
